How we make these
Every short on this site is made end to end by blender-shorts-agent, a free, open-source plugin for Claude Code. Give it one idea; get back a finished, narrated vertical short made entirely in Blender.
v0.2.0 · MIT licence · runs on your own computer · no telemetry
Made with it
No hand editing: story, models, animation, voice, captions, sound and edit, all by the plugin.

How it works
- 1You give it an idea
"Make a short about why a bike wheel ticks." It asks a few questions, then writes the story.
- 2You approve the story
On a clean page: every beat, its narration line, how long it takes to say, and honesty badges.
- 3You approve real stills
Each shot is built in Blender and rendered as a still before anything moves.
- 4It builds and checks
Narration, the 3D scene from code, motion solved by physics, then checks on every frame.
- 5You get a finished MP4
1080×1920 with voice, captions, recorded sound effects, and the title, description and hashtags.
What creators get
- Your hard rules, kept. Say them once ("no people on screen", "no music") and every short shows how it keeps them, with checks where they can be checked.
- Checks that catch what you'd miss. Parts passing through each other, floating objects, flicker, missing textures and black frames, on every frame, before you see it.
- Honest by design. Every number needs a source; slowed or simplified shots carry a badge; myths get cut.
- Your voice, your look. Free local voices, ElevenLabs, or your own voice tool; your brand colours, fonts, handle and end card, or a fresh look per short.
- Real physics. Pendulums, levers, ratchets and contact chains are solved or simulated, not keyframed by eye.
- A real Blender project. Every short comes with its .blend file and the readable script that built it.
Install
You need Claude Code and Blender 4.5 or newer. An NVIDIA GPU makes rendering much faster, but it runs on any computer. In Claude Code:
/plugin marketplace add goinsidemachines/blender-shorts-agent
/plugin install blender-shorts-agent@blender-shorts-agent Then just ask:
Make a short about why a bike wheel ticks when you stop pedalling. The first run asks a few questions (where to save shorts, which voice, your hard rules, your handle) and remembers them. Full details in the README.
Good to know
- It's new, and made for explainers about how things work, not for films or character animation.
- Renders run on your own computer and take a while: minutes on a good GPU, longer without one.
